Are you and your family members plagued by unreasonable communications from this collection agency? My sister is being hunted by them.

I know because I just answered a phone call from them. I've seen the number come up several times but usually don't wait around for the automatic dialer to put a human on the line.

I decided to check them out and this page is what I've found. You should know that you are only helpless if everyone takes them on alone. This company only exists because there is a market for their tactics.

Want to change that, then tell everyone who your creditor is. What companies are out there condoning this kind of treatment of their customers. I, for one, promise to avoid companies that do and I suspect others will join us.

I haven't spoken to my sister yet so I don't know who her creditor is, but I will let you know when I know. Until then, tell me who your creditor (who hired Allied) is and I won't send them any of my business.

Location: Gaylord, Michigan

Look K, this company is calling the wrong number for the wrong person. I can't control if someone else pays his or hers bills, much like I can't control you being a DUMBA$$!!!!

I keep getting calls from these people also. I wanted to settle the account and asked them to fax the agreement to me.

Well, long story short, they never did fax the terms of the settlement to me. Each time I spoke with a "supervisor" who assured me that they would fax an agreement, but it never happened.

So, now I will dispute the debt and make them prove that I owe it. :p

After receiving several messages left on our answering machine, I called them. A man said we owe some limo company.

I told him I don't owe anyone anything and never contracted with that limo company. I told him to stop calling me or I'll report them.

He said he'll tell the limo company what I said and not call me for at least 48 hrs. I'll deal with them if they call again!

There may be various issues at play with some of the facts described above, including potential violations of the FDCPA, as well as the TCPA. In situations like this it makes sense to speak with an attorney to know your rights. Violations of some of these statutes can carry penalties where a collection agency actually ends up owing a consumer-debtor money. Most attorneys offer free consultations on issues like this (and are willing to take these cases on a contingent fee).

A good resource for locating attorneys that practice in this area of the law is Collection Agency Harassment Attorney Finder. You can call them at 760-332-**** (760-DEBTOR-1) for more information or to be connected with an attorney.

Another source for attorneys that practice in this area is the NACA.

As always, if you have issues that arenรขโ‚ฌโ„ขt addressable by an attorney, you may want to speak with the applicable governmental agencies about what can be done.

The only way to deal with these people is to ignore them, donรขโ‚ฌโ„ขt ever call them back. Once they know they have a live person, they will never give up. Itรขโ‚ฌโ„ขs incredible that they are still in business running this same scam.

The best thing to do is activate call-block, or change your number. I know itรขโ‚ฌโ„ขs not fair that innocent consumers have to pay the price for their illicit operation, but it will be easier in the long run. Pursuing complaints or suits will only waste your time and money; these people use robo-callers and offshore agents, so they are virtually impossible to track down. They could shut down, and be back in business, in a matter of hours.

And. If they file a negative credit report, you can easily get it reversed. This happened to me. I called the credit reporting agency and when they saw Allied Interstate they just laughed and took it off my report immediately.

These people are a weak and spineless scam run by offshore scammers, donรขโ‚ฌโ„ขt ever let them intimidate you.

Yeah K,

I got a call from them today and I don't owe anyone ANY money. they left some silly recorded message and never even stated you they were. Seems like a scam to me, next time I'll answer and tell them to stop calling, time after that I'll file a report.

So maybe you should stop assuming all collection calls are legit or have the right person/care if they have the right person, I have gotten calls before from agencies about people I have never heard of(maybe they had my cell phone # before I did)
