I answered the phone today after the 30th time that they called during the week. The calls would start at 8:00 am and the latest I received a call was at 8:30 pm. They called through 3 different 1-800 numbers. A foreign sounding voice asked for Carl. When I told...

Allied Interstate

I have been receiving calls from Allied Interstate, but I have caller id through my cable company, and an answering machine. No one would ever leave a message. I ignored them, refusing to talk to anyone who would not leave any information, however, the calls continued coming, at 8 am, and as late as 10 pm. Finally, after being interrupted yet again while I was working from home, I did an internet search of this company, and found out what they were about. My credit is excellent, and my bills are all current. I have no credit card debt, and have paid my mortgage for 18 yrs. So on Christmas Eve, when the call came one more time, at 8 am, I picked up the phone, and screamed at them to lose my *** number. My husband said I should turn the tables and call them at all hours, to annoy them. I did that, and a man answered the phone, telling me they were looking for a Carmine Baggio. Told them that wasn't me, no one in my home is related to this individual, and that if they refused to remove my unlisted phone number from their 'list' I would be filing a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission. They haven't called since, but then again, it is the Christmas holiday, so I fully expect that the calls will resume on Tuesday. Should that happen, I will make sure that I pursue my options of filing a formal complaint.

They keep calling me and leaving no messages. If you are trying to collect something why not at least be kind enough to leave a message.

Allied Interstate review in Atlanta, Georgia: Not on your side ever

I have a business in california and was in a contract with allied/nationwide and was visited by one of there represntatives who inspected our place and said we dont need any improvements and that we had a very secure area and it was very well kept and the rep. made a comment that we had one of the cleanest locations he has seen. So a week later I got a letter in the mail stating that we are being canceled and come to find out that it was because we had a pet dog who is indeed a pet not a guard dog and we have had him since 2003 and have never had any problems with him and this is the reason for Allied cancelling my insurance. Even though I asked if Allied could exclude the dog and they said no So this carrier is not on your side and is not pet friendly so dont waste your time with getting insurance with them if you have a pet. All other carriers I talked with had no problem with the dog so beware I am not going to get rid of my dog after having him as apart of my family for so long and him(dog) being good with other dogs, kids, and people too.. I will be contacting dog advocates and submitting further reviews in other forums thank you signed unhappy consumer!!!!!!!

Allied Interstate

How can a company make a collection call to you at 10:30 pm. Wife and kids are sleeping and some heavily accented gentleman calling on a debt i don't believe is even legit. Wouldn't give me the name of his company, or his name. I told him it's illegal to call after 9 pm. He said "i am calling the west coast it isn't that late", i said "you are calling the midwest, central time zone. you should know this based on area codes." This butthead finally hung up on me! this company needs to be shut down.

I have been getting repeated calls from this company...saying I owe a large sum of money. I have no idea what they are talking about - because I don't owe anyone that amount of money. English should be a must for them to be calling us SO WE CAN UNDERSTAND THEM!!

There has been a scam going around where these people with Indian accent have been calling people at late hours of the night claiming to be from debt collectors or claiming you've been approved for the loan you applied for. Although in most cases you have never applied for a loan.

It is a way for them to try and steal your personal info such as your SSN # and credit card #. Sometimes they even use the excuse that legal action is being taken against you and the only way to stop it is by providing your SSN # and or credit card #. I happen to see this on CNN.

So any but that falls for this scam is a complete fool. never give out your info to anyone on the phone you don't know or trust.

Allied Interstate!! Nasty People

I had a student loan with a US company. I live and work in the UK, while I tried making payments to the loan company they would not accept payments from my UK bank (my only account). However, I never found this out until two months after I gave them my account details and then a collection agency contacted my parents. Allied Interstate contacted me in my office (I didn't give them my work number). The guy Nazir said that I defrauded Sallie Mae and that I ran away. I asked him to apologise and then he said I am done with you and hung up on me!!!

Allied Interstate keep calling my phone from 8663835073 they have called today (Thanksgiving) 4 times and its only Lunch time. I have told them I do not know the person they are looking for and I only got this phone number two months ago. I called back today and said they call one more time I will file with the Police for harassing phone calls, which is against the federal law. I have even told them to take my number off their list and as of today Nov.24,2011 they have not removed it and said it take about 24 to 48 hours, but that was like three weeks ago

Allied Interstate review in Columbus, Ohio: They keep calling...

Some rude guy with a heavy accent keeps calling. Everytime he demands to know who he's speaking to. I asked who's calling. Tells me Allied Interstate. I ask him WTF is that to which he replied "a business". Told him if he didn't want to be more forthcoming I didn't want to talk to him. He kept reminding me the call was recorded. Like that is sopposed to make me feel intimidated or something. I told the guy to never call me again. By law they can't contact me by phone again. They don't seem to care as the calls keep coming.

Allied Interstate contacted my mother, not me

Apparently my mother was contacted by Allied Interstate looking for me. I have never received any correspondance form them and as of yet, have not received any phone calls from them. She told them to never call her again and they continued to call the next Monday 6 times. She said that if she let the calls go to voice mail, they would not leave a message, but when she answered it and spoke to a woman with an accent, this woman yelled at her and would not talk with her other than to say they needed to talk with me. The woman then hung up on my mother after she told them to take her off their contact list. I understand that debt collection companies have a right to collect information about someone who owes money, but I don't have any idea who these people are. And it would seem that they should be contacting me if they want to talk with me.

they can contact a third party for location information of the borrower, as long as they do not disclose what the call is in regards to (stating personal business is OK). further more as for contacting you, I'm sure you kept your current phone number and physical address up to date with your lender per your contract right?

no? I guess its not your responsibility to initiate the contact and make some arrangements on your account.

And you are in default so legally you owe it all right now, as you read this. classic letter stall.

You and your mother can actually sue Allied Interstate for doing this. First of all, no debt collection company should contact a third party regarding another person's debt.

If you mom still has proof on her phone regarding the phone calls, you can definitely sue them. Have you tried calling Allied? I work for a law firm that sues debt collectors for committing certain violations. It's free of charge to the clients and you can win money.

Contact me for more information.

Hope to hear from you soon. Thanks
